Illustration for children's book PAINTING YOUR PERSPECTIVE

Book is based upon a true story of when autor Jessica Covella, took a group of  2nd grade Spanish speaking students to a modern art museum in downtown Denver. They interpreted what they saw in the large pieces of abstract modern art, weaving in all the beautiful parts of who they are which in turn shapes what you see. The book’s themes are of access and equity, perspective and background, deducing your own meaning, and understanding that your life experiences impact how you see the world... the book will feature individual poems written by the students themselves. This is one of those poems by an 8 year old little boy, inspired by his own perspective...
